- SMG provides custom-made investment advisory services to both Buyers and Sellers in the global Metals & Mining industry
- We act as a cross-border business & financial advisor on mining projects (including fundraising and deal structuring)
- We act as a minority-investor on some projects whose strategic value to our partners in China, India and Asia warrants our support for the setup of JV
- SMG has a systemic investment focus on: iron ore; coal; copper; gold - related mining projects
- Case-per-case investment services may be provided for other metals or minerals
SMG Trading:
- SMG acts as a physical broker of standard metals & minerals trading contracts by leveraging our strong connectivity with Buyers from China, India and Japan and our local presence in the main geographies of mining Sellers
- Additionally, SMG provides added-value services such as shipbroking services (by selecting proper dry cargo brokers for a given FOB/CIF deal) and short-term financing services
- SMG works with industrial Buyers, Mines and a number of established trading houses
SMG Consulting:
- SMG also works with selected hedge funds and financial investors who want to safely engage in the global metals & commodities industry in order to perform on-site due diligence, strategic analysis of investment options and follow-up of investment projects
- On a case-by-case basis SMG works from end to end with End-Buyers and End-Sellers on the structuring of complex industrial investment & trading cases that do not fit "a standard mold" and require to bring in special experts or to have special relationships
